Content recipeWeekly link roundup from your saved bookmarks
You save interesting links all week. On Friday, this drafts the roundup section of your newsletter with one line on each.
| Input | Bookmarks tagged 'newsletter' (Raindrop, Pocket alternative or a Notion DB) |
| Tools | Raindrop.io or Notion, Make, an AI step, your email tool |
| Time | Setup about 40 minutes. |
Download it
- n8n workflow (.json)Import in n8n: Workflows → Import from file. Then connect your credentials.
- Zapier blueprint (.md)Step-by-step rebuild guide. Zapier has no public import format, so this isn't one-click.
- Open the Zap editorCreate a new Zap and follow the blueprint.
The n8n file has three nodes (trigger, AI step, output) plus a read-me note. We check that its JSON structure is valid, but we haven't run every file in a live n8n instance, so test it with sample data before you switch it on.
Steps
- Friday schedule: fetch this week's tagged links and your notes.
- AI step writes one line per link from your note plus the page title.
- Paste the result into a draft in your newsletter tool.
The prompt
For each link, write one sentence (under 25 words) on why it's worth reading, based on my note. Keep my opinions; don't add new claims about the content. Links: {{items}}Sample run
Link + my note: 'good teardown of pricing pages, esp. the bit on annual toggles'
A sharp teardown of SaaS pricing pages. Read it for the section on why annual/monthly toggles change what people choose.
Where it breaks
- No note, bland line. If you saved it without a note, the line will be generic. Leave a five-word note when you save.
- Anything customer-facing or money-related. Keep a human approval step until you've watched a few dozen runs and trust it.
Tool names and pricing change often, so check each tool's current docs before you build. Times on this page are estimates, not measurements.
